Welcome to The King's School

On behalf of all the staff and Governors, welcome to The King’s Church of England School website, and thank you for taking the time to look at what we have to offer. Our website will give you an insight into our wonderful school and the opportunities that the children of The King’s School have to grow, develop and flourish in a caring and nurturing environment. Our website will give you the opportunity to learn about our Christian Ethos, our broad and engaging curriculum, our academic attainment and our inspection reports. We are proud to share this and so much more.

We welcome children of all faiths and none and value diversity and equality. Our Christian values are at the heart of everything we do and are reflected in our Vision statement, which is rooted in the Gospel:

“Encouraging every child to reach their full potential – nurtured and supported in a Christian community that lives and learns by the values of Love, Compassion and Respect”.

John 13:34 “Love one another as I have loved you.”

We strive to deliver a rich and varied curriculum that will inspire and challenge our pupils to develop a love of reading and expand their knowledge and understanding across all the different curriculum subjects they encounter on their learning journey at The King’s.

We have an experienced and dedicated team of staff who are all committed to providing the best learning opportunities for our children. Strong relationships between the different members of the school community support our aim of ensuring the highest standards, both pastorally and academically.

Our Governors are committed to ensuring the best possible educational environment for our children and they work closely with staff to ensure that the school fulfils our Vision statement of ‘encouraging every child to reach their full potential’.  We have very close links to the parishes of St Anne's, and St Luke's with the Barn Church, in Kew and we are also part of the Southwark Diocesan Board of Education family of Church of England schools.

We have an active and dedicated Parent Staff Association (PSA), run by The King’s School parents, who organise social events for our children and parents whilst also helping to raise money to help support the school. All our parents are automatically members of our PSA and we encourage all our parents to get involved and support the work of the PSA.

Following a 200-year tradition, following the Coronation of King Charles III we have become The King's School, having been The Queen's School since 1953.  Our name has changed, but the ethos, values and aspirations of the school have not, as we continue "living and learning by the values of love, compassion and respect".

You will find a wealth of useful information on our website, but if you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact the School Office who will be more than happy to help you.

Thank you again for taking the time to visit our school website.
