Mystery readers will arrive at various points to inspire the children with exciting books.  Thanks to Mrs Meyer for organising this!

Queen’s is Looking for Fun, Animated and Creative Parents!

What:              World Book Day - Mystery Reader’s Wanted
When:             Thursday, March 1st, 2012 or Friday 2nd March
Time:               9:00 am - 9:20am or KS1 1.00 pm - 1.15pm / KS2 1.25 to 1.45 pm

Be a Mystery Reader for your son or daughter’s class.  Choose a children’s book and pick one of the characters in the book that you could dress up as.  Then, come dressed up and read the book to the class.  A picture book would be ideal for the younger students and reading a chapter from a book would be ideal for the older students. I will be dressed up like a Pirate and reading “How I Became a Pirate,” by David Shannon for the Year 3 class but please do not tell.  My grand entrance will be spectacular and I will be speaking pirate of course.  Wigs, make-up, jewellery and elaborate costumes are definitely allowed.  Try and keep the reading of the book to a 10 - 12 minute maximum.  Please see times available.  If you fancy, you could also make a grand appearance in another class as well.  Please contact Gina Meyer at ginabmeyer@yahoo.com  to sign up.  Parents must be CRB checked.

It might be a moment the students will never forget!
