Easter Season

Year 5 Passiontide

Every year, Year 5 perform the Passiontide story, a musical drama which tells the story of Jesus’ Last Supper with the Disciples, Jesus’ relationship with Peter, Judas’s betrayal and Pontius Pilate’s judgement. Year 5 parents’ are welcome to attend. The standard of singing, acting and solo performances culminate in an amazing, moving performance, which always makes an impact on the whole school community

Easter Garden Competition

For several years, we have held an Easter Garden competition over the Easter holidays. This is an opportunity for all children to create a 3D garden that represents Holy Week. Gardening club helped us this year with some top tips and we hope to run the competition again. Here are some photos of the winning entries.

Year 1 Easter Tree Prayers

Year 1 enjoyed writing and creating special prayers for our prayer tree at the front of the school.

Ascension Day

The whole school from Foundation Stage to Year 6 walk down to St Anne’s Church in Kew for a unique service to celebrate Jesus’ leaving his disciples and ascending into heaven. Before the service, children write prayers on ‘dove’ symbols to think about this bible story and reflect on wider issues in our international community. We choose one prayer from each class and attach this to a white balloon. Fourteen white balloons are then released and the children watch in amazement as some fly off and some get hitched quite soon to big trees in the way!
