Learning Roots
"Together we have hope. Be still and know that I am with you" - Psalm 46:10
In order to support children to become good learners or achieve successful learning, our learning and teaching focusses on developing the appropriate skills and qualities. These qualities form part of our six Learning Roots.
Building learning power
The foundations of successful learning
Skills for life
Children are encouraged to reflect on these Learning Certainties across all areas of their school life and particularly to reflect on why they are important and how they have supported their learning.
Our six Learning Roots:
Each learning root is linked to a bible reference as well as a Bible story, reflecting the Christian ethos of the school.
They give us a unified vision of what successful learning looks like.
For the Bible stories, please scroll to the bottom and see the attachment.
The school’s six Learning Roots are explored in depth over several weeks to give greater understanding to their meaning and show how we can live them out in our daily lives. Please see below for the slides on the Learning Roots covered so far this year.
