Parent Meetings
There are several opportunities across the school year to come in to school and meet with teachers: two parent consultation meetings in the Autumn and Spring terms, an open afternoon in the Summer term plus an afternoon in each term to look at learning books in classrooms.
In the first half of each term, we will invite parents/ carers to visit the classroom after school to share and celebrate their child’s learning.
In the second half of the Autumn and Spring terms, parent consultation 10-minute appointments will allow you to discuss your child's progress with their class teacher: they are spread over several days to provide flexibility for you. At these meetings you can expect to discuss the progress your child is making, the results of any assessments and their attainment so far. To give you time to discuss this with your child, English and maths books will be sent home in the week before for an evening.
In the summer term, teachers will provide a written report on your child’s progress and attainment. An open afternoon then provides an opportunity to share and celebrate learning, and both your child’s current teacher and next teacher will be available in their respective classrooms. Visiting new classrooms before the summer is excellent for transition and to alleviate any apprehensiveness.
Parent Consultations
Dates for parent consultations will be shared on Newsletters, on the website calendar and via ParentMail.
If a separate meeting with your child’s teacher has been arranged then you will not be able to book an appointment for these sessions.
